The original performance fabric, back where it belongs.
Before carbon, before lycra, before wind tunnels, there was wool. The riders of cycling's golden age climbed the Alps and sprinted down the Champs-Élysées in knitted wool jerseys with button plackets and pockets sewn by hand. They weren't wearing wool out of nostalgia. They wore it because nothing else worked as well.
The Continental is our tribute to that era, built for how we ride now. The body is knit from 100% Australian merino wool, part of our Pure Merino collection. A three-button placket and classic collar give it a silhouette you won't find anywhere else in the peloton. The buttons are corozo, a dense, naturally beautiful material made from the seed of the tagua palm, chosen because plastic has no place on a jersey like this. Three rear pockets carry everything a ride requires, each lined with powernet stretch mesh so they hold their shape under load and stand up to years of long days out.
In Indigo, the Continental takes its darkest turn. A deep navy body set off by a natural collar and sleeve cuffs, a combination borrowed as much from the rugby pitch as the peloton. It's the most versatile jersey in the collection, dark enough for the workweek commute, sharp enough that no one at the cafe will guess it's technical.
The fit is what we call relaxed athletic. Trimmer than a t-shirt, easier than a race jersey, cut to move on the bike without clinging off it. It looks as good when sitting down for an espresso at the cafe as it does on the road. Modern kit is synthetic, aero-tested, and optimized for a race most of us are never in. Somewhere along the way, function crowded out form entirely. The Continental restores the balance. It does everything a cycling jersey should, wicking sweat, regulating temperature, carrying your ride essentials, without giving up the classic form that made cyclists the best dressed athletes in sport.
Cut and sewn in the USA.
The Continental is a unisex jersey with a relaxed athletic fit. It's cut roomier than our other cycling jerseys, trimmer than a t-shirt, with space to move on and off the bike.
Order your normal size for the intended fit. If you prefer a closer, more traditional jersey fit, size down.
Like all of our cycling jerseys, the Continental has a dropped tail for coverage in the riding position, so the back hem sits lower than the front. The sleeves are cut to sit flat on the arm without a compression gripper.
100% merino wool has natural stretch and will relax slightly with wear, then recover after washing.
