invest where it matters most
Bib shorts are the most important piece of cycling kit you wear. Version two of the first bib shorts made with Nuyarn® merino wool supports your body, regulates temperature, manages moisture, and protects sensitive areas, hour after hour, mile after mile.
When you invest here, you feel the difference.
Key Features
- New Nuyarn® fabric: custom developed for Pinebury. 245 GSM with more stretch and better durability, plus the breathability and drying speed merino is known for.
- Fully opaque: a double-layer rear panel means no sheerness, even in direct sunlight.
- Woven Japanese straps: soft, flat elastic that lies smooth on your shoulders.
- Titan chamois: Elastic Interface® Titan men's pad with a breathable, fast-drying Eco AirTech fabric cover that keeps up with the merino.
- Cargo storage: two side thigh pockets and a merino rear pocket for food, phone, or a light layer.
- Power Grip leg bands: 2-inch elastic bands keep the legs in place without squeezing.
- Made in USA: sewn in California in small batches.
The Titan Pad
The chamois is the part of your bib shorts you notice most on a long ride. We chose the Elastic Interface® Titan men's pad for its anatomic shape and support that lasts hour after hour.
- 5-6 hour protection: high-density padding built for long days in the saddle.
- Dual-density foam: a soft comfort layer over firmer support foam.
- 3mm to 12mm thick: 12mm at the thickest points, 3mm at the thinnest.
- Eco AirTech fabric cover: a recycled fabric with an open, honeycomb-like structure that is highly breathable and fast drying, so it keeps up with Nuyarn® merino wool from the first mile to the last.
- Pre-shaped and seamless: a three-dimensional anatomic shape with no seams, approved for short saddles.

Straps you'll forget about
We replaced the mesh with a flat woven elastic made in Japan. It is soft, smooth, and finished flat, so it lies against your shoulders without cutting in, curling, or leaving marks after a long day.
Double-layer rear panel
Completely solid
A second layer of merino in the rear panel means no sheerness, even in direct sunlight. Nothing to think about but the ride.

Version two uses a new 245 GSM Nuyarn merino wool fabric with more stretch and better durability. A double-layer rear panel makes them completely opaque, the mesh straps are replaced with soft woven elastic made in Japan, the rear pocket is now merino wool, the chamois is now the Elastic Interface Titan, and the pattern has been refined. There is also a women's version for the first time.
No. The heavier fabric and a double-layer rear panel make version two completely opaque, even in direct sunlight.
They are comfortable from about 40°F to 80°F. Merino regulates temperature, so the same shorts work for cool fall mornings and warm summer rides. Below 40°F, add knee or leg warmers.
Most riders should order the same size they wore in version one. The fit is close and supportive but not compressive. If you are between sizes, size up.
The men's Elastic Interface Titan pad: a 5-6 hour chamois with dual-density foam and a breathable, fast-drying Eco AirTech fabric cover that keeps up with the merino.
Pinebury bib shorts are cut and sewn in California in small batches. Pinebury is based in New Gloucester, Maine.
