A do-everything merino short. Light enough for summer runs, warm enough for shoulder season, comfortable enough to never take off.

We built the Active Short to be the one pair you actually reach for. The fabric is a 220 gsm jersey knit in 70/30 merino wool and nylon, light enough for summer and substantial enough for fall. It breathes on hot days, holds up on cool mornings, and moves the way a knit should.

Merino does the work you can't see. It pulls moisture off your skin and dries fast, so a sweaty ride or a river crossing isn't a problem. It resists odor, which means you can wear these three days into a hut trip and nobody will know. Wash them when they're dirty, not after each wear.

The cut is a tailored active fit with a slim leg. A 7" inseam hits two to three inches above the knee, short enough to stay out of the way pedaling or running, long enough to not feel like a race kit. Two side pockets carry the everyday things. A zippered back pocket holds a phone, a key, a gel, whatever you don't want to lose.

Casual runs, easy spins, day hikes, travel days, or lounging. It handles all of it. Made in USA.

  • The merino handles temperature regulation, moisture, and odor resistance. The nylon adds durability and shape retention, so the short holds its fit through repeated wear and washing.

Expect a bit of shrinkage after the first wash. We’ve designed the fit with this in mind, so it starts out slightly larger to ensure the perfect fit once washed and worn.
